About Us

A winding road through a lush green forest under a partly cloudy sky.

Neaves & Co - Group Limited was established in October 2017, with Neaves & Co - Special Projects launching in April 2023.

The business is led by Christopher Neaves, who brings over 27 years of experience in the construction industry. Chris has worked across various sectors, collaborating with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, and lawyers. He specializes in dispute resolution, with experience both in the UK and internationally.

Chris firmly believes that true expertise in the construction industry comes from hands-on experience. To maintain his deep understanding of the field, he continues to work on live construction projects alongside his leadership role at Neaves & Co.

Steve Burling joined Neaves & Co as a Senior Consultant in April 2020 and more recently took on the role of Director of Special Projects. Steve now heads up the Quantity Surveying and Project Management division, enabling Chris to focus on the Dispute Resolution side of the business.  With over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, both in the UK and internationally, Steve brings a wealth of expertise to his leadership role.

Supporting Chris and Steve are:

  • James Prigg is a Project Director at Neaves & Co, with a strong background in engineering and extensive experience in project management within the construction and property sector. He plays a key role in leading and delivering the project management side of the Neaves & Co business.

  • Mark Smith, a Senior Surveyor who joined Neaves & Co in 2024. Mark provides valuable support to Chris and Steve and is currently working towards his RICS qualification, enhancing his expertise and contributions to the team.

  • Garry Fowle, a consultant specializing in Bills of Quantities, is a highly technical-minded surveyor. Garry brings extensive experience to the team, focusing particularly on assisting Chris Neaves in the production of expert reports. His expertise is essential in ensuring reports are accurate, detailed, and well-supported.

  • Emily Farrell, the Office Manager at Neaves & Co, also holds SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualifications. Emily efficiently manages the office while ensuring a strong understanding of site safety and management practices.

  • Noja Stepakovaite is currently the Office Administrator at Neave & Co, where she plays a key role in supporting the team with day-to-day administrative operations. She holds a First Class Honours degree in Marketing, bringing strong organisational, communication, and analytical skills to the business.  Noja is now looking to progress her career into Project Management, where she can apply her structured approach, attention to detail, and proactive mindset to support project delivery and team coordination.
