Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Neaves & Co's slavery and human trafficking statement. It outlines the steps we have taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking do not occur in our supply chain or in any part of our business.
Slavery and forced labour can take many forms, including human trafficking and child labour. This statement details Neaves & Co - Chartered Surveyors' actions to understand and mitigate potential modern slavery risks. As part of the construction industry, we recognise our responsibility to adopt a robust approach to preventing slavery and human trafficking.
We are fully committed to maintaining and improving systems and processes to prevent human rights violations within our operations and across our supply chain.
At Neaves & Co, we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We aim to implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure that slavery and human trafficking do not take place within our company or supply chain. We comply with all relevant legislation, including the Immigration Act 2015, to prevent illegal working.
Our supply chain includes the engagement of sub-consultant organisations to carry out services and works on projects. We play an active role in developing strong, long-term relationships with our sub-consultants and clearly communicate our expectations regarding ethical business practices.
To identify and mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking, we undertake the following actions:
(a) Building Long-Standing Relationships: We establish long-term relationships with our sub-consultants and make clear our expectations for business behaviour.
(b) Reporting Systems: We have in place systems that encourage the reporting of concerns and protect whistleblowers, ensuring employees and sub-consultants feel safe raising any issues.
(c) Encouraging Reporting: We actively encourage employees, sub-consultants, and others to report in good faith any concerns regarding potential ethics, human rights, legal, or regulatory violations, including improper or unethical business practices.
(d) Expectations for Supply Chain: We expect all suppliers and sub-consultants to implement suitable anti-slavery and human trafficking policies, in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Neaves & Co - Chartered Surveyors remains committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking within our operations and across our supply chain. We continue to monitor and improve our practices to ensure that all business relationships and operations uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
